The choices that we make impact
our environment. From what we pur-
chase to how many children we decide
to have, we are always leaving a carbon
footprint. Today, there are many op-
tions to choose from when it comes to
products with recycled plastics or ethi-
cally sourced ingredients. While people
reading this may not have the power to
change policy, let’s talk about a few ways
to be sustainable at home. Think twice
when you shop, is there a way you can
get the product second-hand? Check to
see if the products are made from lower
impact materials with minimal packag-
ing and shipping, Amazon has made
great strides to combine packages for
less material use. Over the years, cor-
porations have been making efforts to
reduce their carbon footprints in produc-
tion, sourcing, and shipping. Most com-
panies’ websites put their sustainability
efforts on the page so that consumers
can see what they are contributing to.
