As a Family and Consumer Sciences
educator, I’ve seen firsthand how early
financial education can shape a child’s
future. In today’s world, where money
decisions are part of everyday life, I be-
lieve it’s never too early to start teaching
kids how to manage money wisely. Re-
search shows that children begin form-
ing money habits by age seven. That’s
why I encourage families to introduce
basic financial concepts—like saving,
spending, and sharing—early on. When
