Dear Friend,
In our day there are many different types of churches. When I was young I often
wondered why there were so many “flavors” of Christianity? After all, there is only
one Bible. Why doesn’t everybody just find out what God’s word says and do it! That COLLEGE FALL
seamed reasonable to me then, and still does today. SPORTS
Well, later in life as I was preparing for the ministry, I was afforded the
opportunity to discover for myself just what the scriptures do in fact teach. As a
result, I am (and have always been) an independent Baptist by conviction. Home games only.
Today, and in the next few issues, I will share with you what are often called the
Baptist Distinctives. These are the biblical beliefs that have historically been held by MUSKINGUM UNIVERSITY
the people called Baptists.
Their fundamental beliefs can be expressed through a handy acrostic with each Bible-based character Football
