        The Tornadoes storm past three opponents in a row

        Vs Meadowbrook (01/06)
          The Tornadoes hopped on the bus on
        Tuesday to head out to Byesville to play
        the Meadowbrook Colts.  The sound of
        the tip-off whistle had barely left specta-
        tors’ ears before West Muskingum took
        control of the ball and started to domi-
        nate  the  court, launching  out to a 19
        – 5 lead at the end of the first quarter.
        The Colts picked up the pace before the
        end of the half, pumping out a ten-point
        quarter, but the Tornadoes continued to
        blow by their defenses, ending the first
        half of the game up 34 – 15.
          With both teams back in  play, West
        Muskingum continued on their upward
        loft as they put another 14 points on the
        board in the third quarter to place their
        lead at 48 – 20 as the two teams round-
        ed into the final minutes of the game.
        The Colts stepped up in the final period,
        with their highest scoring quarter of the
        game, but West had their highest score
        of the game as well, negating the Colts’
        efforts and taking a huge 68 – 36 win.
          Senior Kyle Porter had 21 points, one
        rebound, seven assists, and three steals
        for  the  Tornadoes.  Sophomore Noah
        Morrison had 16 points, two rebounds,
        five assists, and two steals.
          The Tornadoes will host the New Lex-
        ington Panthers on Friday, January 9th,
        at 7:30 PM.
