Back on the court, the two teams
went point-for-point in the third quarter,
with Warren only closing the gap by one
point with Tri-Valley rolling into the final
quarter up 43 – 31. The Warriors truly
battled out the last period, tying up the
game and ending the game with a huge
upset in the final seconds that left Tri-
        Valley taking a 61 – 51 loss.
        Vs Morgan (1/9)
          The Scotties didn’t expect Friday’s
home game against Morgan to be as
exciting as it ended up, but the 4 – 6
record team had some tricks up their
sleeves as they took the first quarter by
storm with a 16 – 9 lead as the second
period started. Tri-Valley was not able to
recover before the end of the first half,
        even after moving in the right direction;
they only closed the deficit by one and
went to the locker rooms down 24 – 18.
Tri-Valley had a lot to prove to them-
selves as they started the second half of

the game. They pushed hard to narrow
the gap, ending the third period trailing
31 – 27. The last minutes of the game
were nail-biting minutes as the game
could go either way, but as the final buzz-
er rang, the two teams were deadlocked
at 39 – 39, sending them into overtime.
With the score leveled the two teams
regrouped and stepped back on the
court. The extra time gave the Scotties
room to make the plays they needed to
regain the lead and hold onto it, to win
        the game 46 – 42.
