THE HAPPY MAN Online.
PASTOR MIKE ROBINSON
Dear Friend,
This morning I would like to look into the very first Psalm in the Bible.
Particularly, the first three verses of Psalm 1. These verses describe the blessed, or
happy man. The Psalmist opens with the words “blessed is the man that walketh not
in the counsel of the ungodly”.
The happy man is one who has a calm inner contentment and spiritual feeling of
well-being. He possesses a sense of satisfaction, strength, and stability, despite his
outward circumstances. The happy man has peace and confidence in his daily walk.
His good relationship with the Lord makes all the difference in his life. In the first
three verses of Psalm 1 we see three definitive characteristics of the happy man.
First, the blessed man is one who avoids evil. He refuses to listen to evil advice,
partake in evil pursuits, or to accompany those who hold to evil practices. (Ps 1:1)
Secondly, this happy man is one who cleaves to the Word of God. “But his
delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.” Available anywhere, anytime, and on any device in full color.
(Ps 1:2)
Finally, the happy man is one who is resting on the promises of God. Many dresdenbuzz.com
things are unsure, but the man who trusts in the Lord may confidently expect that
“whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.” (Ps 1:3)
See you on Sunday!
