                  WEEKENDS                                                             Today we come to the last in our series of four characteristics of biblical baptism
                                                                                    taken from the book of Acts. (Acts 8:26-39)
                                                                                       As you may recall the first characteristic was that a candidate for baptism must
                                                                                    meet the minimum requirement.  He must be saved.  A born again Christian.
                                                                                       Secondly, a new believer must possess the right motive for baptism.  Simply, that
                                                                                    of obedience to our Lord’s command that all believers be baptized. (Matt 28:19-20)
                                                                                       There is no saving grace in baptism.  It is not a necessary part of salvation.

                                                                                       Next, a new believer should be baptized by total immersion.  This is the only
