                                                                                                                        Dresden is preparing for its third
                                                                                                                      large summer event for 2026, the
                                                                                                                      Dresden Melon Festival, scheduled
                                                                                                                      for Saturday, August 1. This all-day
                                                                                                                      celebration, hosted by The Friends
                                                                                                                      of the Dresden Parks, honors Dres-
                                                                                                                      den’s melon-growing history.
