Multi-Talented Adamsville Youth Aims High

Taylor Green, a 6th grader at Adamsville Elementary, likes to stay active. She has been involved in a variety of activities and sports over the years and this year is no exception.

The sport that Taylor is most passionate about is archery. She said that archery is her favorite because it helps her focus. She likes it better than other sports because it is not as dangerous. Plus, she enjoys meeting new friends since the archery team is made up of girls from all four area elementary schools. This year she is looking forward to the possibility of going to state to compete. Last year, Taylor received a trophy at the year-end banquet for placing 4th for Elementary Tri-Valley girls with a total of 242 points.

Over the summer Taylor has been involved in the Inspirations 4H Club by working hard on decorating cakes. One of her recent cakes was auctioned off to raise money for the animal shelter, in her dog, Zoey’s name. The cake was a beautiful patriotic red, white and blue 4th of July themed cake.

Color Guard has also been keeping Taylor busy this summer. This is her first year participating in the Tri-Valley Junior Color Guard. The group is currently working on learning the routine for the Tri-Valley fight song. Taylor is very excited about performing with the color guard this October during a half-time show

One of the more unique activities that Taylor takes part in is throwing horseshoes with the Tri-County Horseshoe Pitchers. This group is made up of people of all ages in Muskingum, Guernsey and Coshocton counties. Her grandparents got her started by playing horseshoes in their backyard. She is the third out of six grandchildren to pitch. Taylor stated, “Everyone is funny so they automatically become your friends”.
