Adamsville Homecoming Starts July 25

This year’s Annual Adamsville Homecoming will be at Gaumer Park in Adamsville, Ohio July 25 through 28.  The theme is “Sail Away”.  Attendees can look forward to tractor pulls, dancing, live music, kids games, fireworks and more.  There will be bingo every evening and nightly 50/50 drawings. 

Rides take just one ticket at a cost of $2.50.  Wristbands will also be available for purchase.  Get them early at Bakers Store for only $12.  Presale price will be valid until closing on July 24.  $15 Wristbands will be available at the homecoming. 

Jesse Prouty and Dakota Erhnfield are the 2018 Homecoming Queens.

Jesse Prouty (Co-Queen) is the daughter of Mike and Rhonda Prouty and has lived just outside of Adamsville all of her life. Her hobbies include fishing, singing, and welding.  Jesse likes pulling tractors, helping out at the tractor club, fire department events, and going back roading.  She has been a member of the fire department since 2013. She started on the fire department as a junior firefighter and is now a member awaiting classes to get her card. 

Dakota Erhnfield (Co-Queen) granddaughter of Ellen and Harry Ehrnfield.  She has lived in the Adamsville community for 13 years and attended Mid-East Career and Technology centers for Cosmetology.  Dakota is the 4-H Club president, World Archery team finalist of the Tri-Valley Archery Club, a member of Student Council,  and a member of Peer Mediation.

The Grand Marshals this year are Rita and Rodger Baker owners of Baker’s Place Convenience Store.  Rita and Rodger met in grade school in Adamsville and got married on August 24th, 1963.  They will be celebrating their 55th anniversary this coming month.  They have 3 children, Mark(deceased), Lori (Bob) Davis, and Jesse (Lori) Stotts.  The Bakers also have 2 grandchildren, Brittany (Chuck) Fowler, and Jeremy (Kassidy) Davis, great grandchildren JD, Bella, and Carson Fowler, Deacon and Owen Davis and step great-grandchildren Jaden and JaDontae Curtis.  Rita and Rodger have owned their store since 1992 and recently updated the kitchen and added a bar.  Their hobbies include taking much-needed vacations whenever possible.
