The Dresden Dollar General has been collecting bottles of Gatorade and water to donate to the Dresden Fire Department to keep them hydrated during the summer heat. So far well over a skid of the popular sports beverage has been collected thanks to Dollar General, generous customers, store manager Valarie Stephens and employee Brandon Untied who helped organize the drive.
This is not the first time the local Dollar General has pulled together donations. Toys, clothes, hats, and gloves, school supplies and other items have been donated to various local causes throughout the years.
