New Coach, New Season, Same “Dawgged” Determination!

For the last few weeks, the Tri-Valley football team has been working hard almost every day to try and get this coming season off on the right foot.  You may have seen them early in the morning down at the field on their two-a-day practices, and you can even sit in on their scrimmages against other area teams.  Either way, you will see them laser-focused on one goal, to take their team even further than last year.  If the brief flashes of strength and perseverance that I have seen are any indication this could turn out to be a very exciting season.  Some of the highlights I noticed during their scrimmage against Watkins Memorial on Saturday, August 10th, were a short pass turned into a nearly 70-yard touchdown run and an interception that seemed like it was a planned play because it was so effortless.

Head Coach Kevin Fell stated “The team is getting better every day, they are getting more physical, and we have more men on the field. Today they looked more like a football team! We accomplished what we wanted to from this scrimmage and came out healthy.”

Make sure you make an effort to go see the Dawgs play whether at “The Jack” or on the road this season, I don’t think you will be disappointed.  #DefendYourName
