On Saturday, September 22nd, the Lady Dawgs varsity soccer team went up against Dover Crimson Tornadoes. The game started a little early due to Dover not having a reserve team to play.
On both sides of the field, there was a fierce battle to maintain possession of the ball and several attempts on the goal going both ways. I would say that the teams were pretty evenly matched!
The first half of the game went on without a score from either team but the battle was intense and neither team would give up a goal or allow possession of the ball for more than a few seconds at a time.
The only score of the game belonged to #13 Lauren Wood, a junior from Tri-Valley.
The Scotties held the score 1-0 to end the game and put another win in the bag, way to go Lady Dawgs!
Head Coach Emily Reilly had this to say “They got out there and made the puzzle pieces fit together, It was good to see the girls putting strings and combos together in such a tight game!”
