Tri-Valley Remains Undefeated 5 – 0 Against New Lexington

No doubt there are a lot of expectations coming into your fifth game of the season having beaten every other team you have faced, and the Scotties did not disappoint!

Homecoming game is usually stressful enough with all of the ceremonies and parading around, not to mention coming into the game with an undefeated record to protect and to set the stage for arguably the biggest battle coming up against Sheridan who is also undefeated in the MVL.

Tri-Valley started off the night with a touchdown by Carson Simpkins who carried the ball over the goal line after catching a 41 yard pass by Luke Fargus.  With extra point easily obtained the Scotties had a 7 – 0 lead.

Toward the end of the first quarter #24 Chase Kendrick recovered a fumble to put the ball back in Tri-Valley possession.   This lead the way for a 20+ yard touchdown run by #22 Blake Sands.  The score stood 14-0 Tri-Valley.

The second quarter didn’t look any better for the Panthers as Tri-Valley trusted scorer #33 Jordan Pantaleo carried the ball for a 34 yard touchdown, followed by a fumble on the kickoff that #18 Cy Burkhart was able to take right into the endzone for yet another touchdown bringing the lead total to 27-0 Scotties!

Just before the end of the first half Tri-Valley had to cap the lead with a quick field goal that landed them at 30-0.

During the second half the Panthers were able to keep Tri-Valley from scoring again but the damage had already been done.  The Scotties took home the win with a 30 – 0 Victory over the Panthers and a 5 – 0 ranking going into the all important Sheridan game on 5th of October.
