Did you know that there is a family-friendly alternative to the traditional haunted house in Dresden? Spooky Hollow Haunted Barn Tours offers encounters with interactive and non-moving (no live actors) witches, ghosts, zombies, skeletons and the like with a mild twist.
Admission is free to this “haunted” Halloween attraction. Tours will be available during trick or treat on Halloween night as well as in the evening on Halloween week from 5:30 to 7:00 pm on both Monday and Tuesday. The barn can be found at 50 W Seventh in Dresden. (1 block past the University brick building).
Dian Bentley, the owner of Spooky Hollow Haunted Barn Tours, has been collecting Halloween decorations and creatures for many years. She stumbled across the barn which houses the tour in 2014 while home hunting. “I thought it would be a perfect spot for a haunted house”, said Dian.
Just last week Dian’s barn was featured on the Hallmark Channel’s Home and Family Show. The show asked viewers to send ideas of how to show kindness towards children. Dian said she “gives free tours to local families to ensure that all kids have an opportunity to have a fun and safe Halloween.”
