On Saturday, October 20th, Sheridan hosted their Annual Americheer Cheer & Dance Spooktacular Competition. There were 21 teams in attendance from the MVL and surrounding areas.
Tri-Valley Middle School Cheer Team coached by Missy Smith took home both 1st place in their division as well as Grand Champion over all 21 teams there.
Scotties Biddy League Cheer teams took home some big wins as well. The Peewee Cheer team (1st & 2nd Graders) coached by Ashton Stotts, Ashtin McGee, Misty Harris & Tessa Wolford, won 1st place in their division against 3 other Peewee teams. They also scored higher than 15 other teams at the show including the Biddy League Peewee, JV, and Varsity teams and one High School Cheer team.
Tri-Valley’s Junior Varsity (3rd & 4th Graders) Coached by Missy Swope and Devyn Shumaker also took home 1st place against 3 teams in their division and finished with a score higher than 17 other teams.
Tri-Valley’s Varsity (5th & 6th Graders) Coached by Jodee van Rooyen, Missy Smith, and Betsy Prouty took home a 1st place win as well with a final score higher than 19 teams in attendance and just half-a-point lower than the Middle School team that took home Grand Champion.
