Clearing Snow

Citizens Lend a Helping Hand During First Big Snow of Season

When we first moved to Dresden in 2014 we worried about how we would be able to keep up with the sidewalk in front of our business building on Main Street after it snows. To our surprise, the sidewalk was almost always clear as if it was magic. But who was this kind magician?

Fast forward many years later… while in the office over the weekend I heard someone plowing a nearby sidewalk. I quickly grabbed my camera and ran out of the door as if I were trying to catch Santa in the act of placing presents under the Christmas Tree.

There on an orange four-wheeler adorned with a plow was none other than Dresden’s Mayor, Dave Mathew!

According to Mayor Mathew, there were several who helped to plow the sidewalks and in the parking places alongside the roads. He was in charge of Main from 8th Street to the North side and Bob Tumblin took care of the other end.

Mayor Mathew wanted to thank all who helped clear the snow. Thank you from us at the Buzz and from everyone else who we know really appreciates your efforts.
