Friday, January 11th in New Concord at the home of the John Glenn Little Muskies Tri-Valley put up a good fight but the Little Muskies got away with the win.
The first period of the game found the Scotties trying to find their feet as they battled the taller John Glenn team while the Muskies were having a go at getting all of their players on the board with a 15 – 0 lead over Tri-Valley at the end of the first period.
In the second period Tri-Valley started to get a hook in the Muskies and reeled in their own 15 points to John Glenn’s 8 more points,
After the half, the Scotties cast their line out and fought hard even getting the Muskies within a 3 point margin, but they just couldn’t hold the line as John Glenn continued their full-court push and ended the third period at 34-27 against the Scotties.
The final period saw the Scotties struggling to put up another 8 points to bring their total to 35 points as the Muskies pounded down another 17 points of their own to take the win at 51 – 35 against the Scotties.
