In a game full of electrifying action, the Scotties were able to pull ahead in the last few minutes of overtime to win the game 42 – 41.
Although the game started off a bit rough for the Scotties and saw them fall behind a couple of times it was an exciting game to watch and a big victory for the Dawgs to keep them in the MVL race.
The first period was a hard-fought battle that left the Scotties chasing the Electrics trailing by five at Philo 9 – TV 4. But the Dawgs are never to be counted out and they pushed back hard to gain the lead at halftime, going into the locker room at TV 20 – Philo 18. Philo would gain the lead here and there but the Scotties were not about to let them keep it and by the end of the third the score stood TV 32 – Philo 31. As the game grew closer to the end of regulation time the pace became more and more frantic with each coach using timeouts regularly. By the end of the 4th period the score showed the Dawgs and the Electrics at a dead heat of 39 – 39.
In overtime the two well-matched teams went for the win respectively with the Scotties edging out the Electrics 42 – 41 in a nail-biting ending that left the Power Plant at a deafening roar! Way to go Scotties!
