Eight Tri-Valley wrestlers will be competing in the District meet on March 1st and 2nd. To achieve this, the Scotties wrestlers had to place fourth or higher individually at the OHSAA Division I Sectional Meet at Marysville High School.
Placing fourth or higher in the upcoming District meet will land them a place in the coveted OHSAA State Meet, March 7-9 in Columbus at the Schottenstein Center.
In the Sectional meet senior Sky Wisecarver won a Sectional title in the 106lb weight class.
Gaining second place spots for the Scotties were sophomore Cullen VanRooyen in the 120lb weight class, sophomore (and MVL champion) Joseph Eckleberry in the 126lb weight class, and junior Dylan Hines in the 160lb weight class.
Earning fourth place spots at the Sectional meet were sophomore Karter Jones in the 138lb weight class, junior A.J. Collins in the 182lb weight class, senior Sawyer Hanby in the 195lb weight class, and sophomore Seth Schneider in the 285lb weight class.
Also attending the District meet as an alternate is Andy Hill in the 220lb weight class.
