AEP Rebate Program Saves Money for Village of Dresden

The largest contributer to electricity consumption is lighting. which makes up over 50 percent of electricity usage according to the AEP Ohio website. The website also explains how a single LED saves more than $80 in electricity costs over its lifetime.

Rebate programs have been offered through AEP to encourage the switch to LED lighting for commercial and residential customers.

The Village of Dresden welcomed the change in lighting and made the upgrade to the Dresden Fire Department which earned the village a rebate from AEP in the amount of $4,758.83. The village is in the process of upgrading all of their properties to LED lighting as well.

This is the last year for the AEP rebate program.
