Tri-Valley Basketball & Swimming Season Achievements

Boys Basketball & Cheerleaders
Tuesday, March 19th in the cafetorium at Tri-Valley High School, there was an awards banquet to honor the Scotties Boys Varsity team as well as the Cheerleaders. Earning their varsity letter for cheer this season were juniors Megan Meyers, Alexis McNeal, Corina Kain, Jordyne Little and Vanessa Chilcoat. Earning letters for the seniors were Emilie Clapper and Emily James. Five of the girls were also recognized for achieving MVL Scholar Athlete Honors for earning a varsity letter while maintaining at least a 3.5 GPA for the season, the honorees are Alexis McNeal, Jordyne Little, Emily James, Vanessa Chilcoat and Megan Myers. Coach Kelly Lawler was very proud of her girls!

Coach McLoughlin stepped up to the podium to award first-year varsity letters to players senior Garrett French, junior Skye Bryan (Honorable Mention All-District), Evan Arnold, Dylan Williams, and Drew Richert, freshman Luke Lyall , Ty Smith, and manager Lucas Jerles

Second-year varsity letter went to senior Kaden Lawler, and Third-year letters were awarded to senior Matt King, and juniors Keaton Williams, and Jack Lyall.

Gaining MVL Scholar Athlete honors for the boys were Luke Lyall, Ty Smith, Jack Lyall, Kaden Lawler, Dylan Williams, Evan Arnold, Garrett French, Drew Richert, and Keaton Williams.

Senior Matt King was awarded special recognition for being the teams top assist leader, Junior Keaton Williams received team’s top scorer and rebounder accolades along with Division I, District 12 Player of the Year, picked up first team All-District honors and Special Mention Division I All-Ohio, senior Jack Lyall received first-team All-District honors.

Girls Basketball
On Thursday, March 21st Coach Kaufman presented first-year varsity letters to freshman Janie McLoughlin, sophomores Riley Tracey and Tailor Dupler, and senior Savannah Moran. He also awarded third-year letters to juniors Audrey Spiker, Kyndal Howe, and Lauren King. There was one fourth-year letter trophy given to senior Laiken Little.

Outstanding Co-Offensive players of the year was awarded to juniors Kyndal Howe and Audrey Spiker.

Junior Lauren King received the Coaches award.

Plaques for All-Ohio OHSAA honors were given to selected junior Audrey Spiker, and honorable mentions Lauren King, and Kyndal Howe.

Six girls were awarded MVL Scholar Athlete honors including Janie McLoughlin, Riley Tracy, Audrey Spiker, Lauren King, Savannah Moran, and Laiken Little.

Swimming
On Wednesday, March 20th the 2018-19 swim team was honored in the cafetorium at the Tri-Valley High School.

During the evening first-year varsity letters were awarded to Blane Cox, Eve Davis, Cyrus Dittmar, Sean Lacy, Katya Liber, Seryna Mann, Mason McDonald, Jacob Merry, Allie Norman, Nathan Sauerbrey, Rhiannon Shaw, Emma Robinson, Laine Welker, Caitlynn Wriston.

Second-year letters were given to Mikal Blackstone, Mariah Clark, Kayley Harper, Starley Jacobs, Brady Jacobs-Bell, Larissa Lynch, and Clare Waggle.

Third-year awards were Caroline Holmes, Marissa Sees, Eric Allen, Will Kline, and Ben Jacoby.

Fourth-year awards were given to Keegan Bumpus and Chad Bell.

MVL Scholar athlete awards were given to Sean Lacy, Blaine Cox, Ben Jacoby, Eric Allen, Will Kline, Mikal Blackstone, Chad Bell, Cyrus Dittmar, Mason McDaniel, Seryna Mann, Laine Welker, Caroline Holmes, Caitlynn Wriston, Larissa Lynch, Marissa Sees, Clare Waggle, Eve Davis, and Katya Liber.
