Village Addressing Concerns About Dresden Cemetery

The Village had a cemetery meeting on Thursday evening March 21, 2019 and invited those with concerns about the cemetery to attend.

There were several citizens in attendance and they expressed valid concerns.

As such, it was decided that going forward the Cemetery committee would like to invite citizens that want to be involved in the cleaning of the cemetery, decision making about what types of décor should be permitted on the plots/stones, and any other portion of the happenings of the cemetery.

Village Council would therefore like to add three individuals that would like to be involved to contact the Fiscal Officer, at 740-754-3151 to volunteer.

The next meeting of the cemetery committee will be on April 4^th at 5:30 p.m. at the Dresden Municipal Building. At this meeting the committee, along with the volunteer members,  would like to get rules and guidelines in place so that the new rules can be approved by council in the April 15^th regularly scheduled council meeting.
