Despite a rain delay of a few days in the middle of the John Glenn game, Tri-Valley Lady Dawgs could not be stopped with 20 points in the game followed by a 27-0 shutout against Zanesville in their playoff home-opener.
After a few days of rain-delay Tri-Valley Girls varsity softball team finished their game against John Glenn on Tuesday May 7th. The Lady Dawgs did not leave much room for doubt against the Little Muskies as they handily defeated them with some big scoring innings including an 8 run first inning, and a six run third inning. At the end of the two day tally, Tri-Valley had amounted 20 points to John Glenn’s 8.
On the next day, May 8th, the Lady Dawgs hosted their first playoff game against the Zanesville Lady Devils. Senior Janessa Dawson threw a no-hitter against Zanesville, but the Lady Devils could not fight off the bats from the Scotties. Tri-Valley flooded them with runs starting with 6 runs in the first inning and then doubling that in the second. The game ended in the 5th inning due to a mercy rule but not before Tri-Valley had summed up a 27 – 0 victory against Zanesville to move on in playoff rounds. Nice work ladies!
