Excessive Heat didn’t keep the supporters away for the 12th Man Club’s Annual Golf Outing

With the thermometer hitting 92 degrees on Sunday, July 21st, supporters still came out to help the Tri-Valley Football Program kickoff the new season.

12th Man Club President Brad Richert along with Vista Golf Course Pro Casey Lepi kicked off the shotgun start of the golf outing by letting everyone know the rules and the prize categories for the days events. After that, the golfers were off to the course.

Tri-Valley varsity football players were stationed at every hole to greet the players and give assistance any way they could to the players. Although it was very hot the golfers didn’t seem to mind much. No matter where you were on the course you could see golf carts zipping around and players lining up shots either on the putting green, the fairway or at the starting tee for each hole.

All in all it was a good day with 18-19 teams participating and support from the community to make the Scotties football season a good one.

“Special thanks goes out to Williams Asphalt and Concrete, Hazen Services, and Jeff and Janus Watson, as well as all of the teams and supporters who helped make the day a great success” stated 12th Man Club president Brad Richert.
