4-H Field Trip to the Farm at Walnut Creek June 22, 2019

Our club, Tri-County Country Kids, met at Walnut Creek at 10:30 am. First, everyone went on the wagon ride tour. We fed the cattle, lamas, goats and more. Our tour guide also explained where they’re from and how to feed them. They had many species of cattle from Africa, Asia, Europe, and India. We saw emus, rheas, and ostriches. There were water buffaloes, American bison, giraffes, gazelles, European deer, pot belly pigs, zebras, black swans, and various types of goats. It was like a small zoo.

Next, we all explored a little and got some lunch. Then everyone went to the playground.

We are all grateful for HANBY FARMS for sponsoring our club for this field trip, I’m sure we will all remember this experience for a long time!
