Local Boy Scout Troop 121 is asking the residents of Frazeysburg to collect non-perishable food such as macaroni and cheese, cereal, rice, pasta, canned meat, canned fruit, canned vegetables, soup, Spaghettios, peanut butter, crackers, cookies, beans and spaghetti sauce for their food drive.
Grocery sacks will be left at the front porch of homes in Frazeysburg on August 6, 2019. Then, on Saturday, August 24, 2019, the scouts will be collecting the filled bags from the porches of the residents and delivering all of the bags to the food pantry. The cub and boy scouts will both be involved in every step of the service project, from dispursing bags, to collecting filled bags, delivering the food and personally stocking and organizing the shelves in the pantry.
This is the second year that the scouts have headed the food drive to help restock the A.I.M. Outreach food pantry. Last year 122 sacks full of food items were donated to the cause through the effort.
