Scotties Varsity Football Gears up for upcoming games

On Friday, August 9th, the Tri-Valley varsity football team adorned their pads and helmets and took to the field at Jack Anderson Stadium to face off against the West Holmes High School team for a scrimmage.

While neither team was keeping track of the points of the game they were putting their best foot forward and testing their opponents in all aspects of the game.

I’ll be honest there were some pretty tough competitors on the field against Tri-Valley, West Holmes was showing off their run game and some passes as well. Tri-Valley defense was doing a good job of shutting them down despite their size (one of the players for WH was 6′-9″ tall.)

The Scotties were also showing what they had with many running plays and some great touchdown passes. The team as a whole was looking very impressive and seemed to be working together well on anything that the Knights could throw at them, more than one West Holmes pass that was cut short by a Tri-Valley player.

Only time will tell if the Scotties are ready for the season to get into full swing, but we will be here to cheer them on when they do! Go Dawgs!
