Long-time Dresden resident, George Helbling, is proud of his niece’s latest accomplishment, earning the position as president of the Netflix-Based Company, Ryan Murphy Productions.
During her president roll, Alexis Martin Woodall will be managing Ryan Murphy Productions while continuing to executive produce TV productions and producing films for the company.
In 2003, Alexis began her career as a production assistant on “Nip/Tuck”, and eventually became a producer for the final season of the FX series. Other Murphy series she has been a producer for include “Glee”, “American Horror Story”, “American Crime Story: The People vs. OJ Simpson”, and the film “The Normal Heart”. She advanced in her career in 2015, becoming the executive producer of “Pose”, “American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace”, “Scream Queens”, “American Horror Story”, “Feud”, “911” and “Lone Star”. Her work has earned her three Emmys and a pair of Golden Globes.
All together Alexis has worked on nearly 500 hours of television with Ryan Murphy during the course of over 16 years. As their collaboration continues Alexis is excited for a new era at Netflix.
Alexis is currently executive producing “The Politician”, “Ratched”, and “Hollywood” for Netflix as well as the upcoming “American Crime Story: Impeachment”, “The Boys in the Band” and “The Prom”.
