TV 12th Man Club Hosts Another Successful Kick-Off Dinner

Each year the TV 12th Man Club organizes a kick-off dinner which serves as a huge fundraiser for the team.

“We raised about $5000 during the dinner thanks to very generous supporters and the great parents and community we live in,” said 12th Man Club President Brad Richert.

“I can’t even put into words what the parents and businesses mean to our organization.  We truly live in a special place and time that we are able to work together to make it truly a special experience for the members of the TV football program.  I am so proud to be part of this organization,” added Brad.

Dinner of salad, rotini, garlic bread, chicken, and green beans was served by Tri-Valley Seniors. The Dawgs sat towards the front of the room with banners sporting each of their names proudly hanging on the wall directly above tables lined with items to be auctioned off later in the evening.

After dinner, the seniors each had a chance to introduce themselves and share what their plans were after graduating. Of course, the Dawgs were men of few words. Coach Fell was next to the mic with his thoughts on the upcoming season.

“We are a lot further ahead than we were last year,” stated Fell. He continued to explain how confident the team is and how they have really worked on building their strength this year. Fell explained, “We have lots of skilled kids but not a lot of linemen – not a lot of big kids”. Because of this, the team has to do things a different way. He continued with, “Overall they are a good bunch of kids, they work hard”.

Tri-Valley is not the only improved team. The coach shared how all the teams in the MVL have stepped up their game. “I expect a tough football team”, said Fell when speaking about the upcoming game against Logan. He added, “A lot of teams are better than they were last year”. In the 2018 matchup, the Scotties easily defeated the Chieftains with a final score of 48 to 7.

Coach Fell concluded his time at the mic with some important insight about how valuable every player is no matter their role or position. “Everyone contributes, every football player is important,” said Fell.
