The Jubilee Food Pantry, located in the Northgate Open Bible Church, received 137 bags filled by compassionate Dresden residents and collected by Boy and Cub Scout Troop 121.
Troop leader Wendy Hartman wants to thank the community, “We had a great turnout and we appreciate what everyone did to help those in need.”
This is the 25th year for the food drive. It provides much needed non-perishable food just in time to restock the shelves before the busy holiday season.
The Jubilee Food Pantry feeds about 25-35 families a month. They collect and provide food, clothing, other donated essentials including dress clothes to help properly clothe people for job interviews.
“It is such a blessing, an overwhelming blessing and fantastic to see the community do this,” said Jay Burke an assistant at the food pantry.
