Monday, September 23rd, at Kenny Wolford Park in Dresden, Ohio the Tri-Valley girls varsity soccer team took on the Maysville Panthers.
The first half of the game the two teams battled relentlessly for the control of the ball but neither team could score before the halftime buzzer.
The second half of the game told a new story with Maysville being more aggressive and challenging the goalie from Tri-Valley several times with chip shots and finally landed one in the net setting Maysville up 1 – 0 against the Scotties.
The Scotties pushed back but again the Maysville team pushed hard for the Lady Dawgs goal and almost had it in but in the battle one of the Maysville players got injured. There was a lengthy delay to treat the player, but after the delay, the foul that brought about the injury landed Maysville a goal kick that they were able to complete for the game winning score of 2 – 0 against the Scotties.
