Two Local Fire Departments Awarded FEMA AFG Grant Money

Ohio First Resonders Grants, LLC announced on September 18th and 20th that the Frazeysburg and Dresden Fire Departments would be receiving FEMA Assistance to Firefighters Grants.

The Frazeysburg Fire Department was notified that they have received a grant for just over $75,000. The money will be used to purchase two cardiac monitors (one for each ambulance) and one automatic CPR device.

The Frazeysburg station was not the only Tri-Valley area fire department top receive a FEMA AFG grant this year. A grant in the amount of $96,950 was awarded to the Dresden Fire Department to be used to purchase all new hose, nozzles and appliances for the fire station.

The Dresden Fire Department was the recipient of a large FEMA AFG grant last December which allowed for equipment upgrades, a new tanker truck, heart rate monitors and a pair of life-saving LUCAS Devices. This is the fourth year that Ohio First Responders Grants has helped the Dresden Fire Department obtain grant money.
