Special Permit Youth Deer Hunt Slated For Dillon State Park

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Parks and Watercraft, will host a special deer hunting opportunity for youth hunters.  The hunt is designed to provide these hunters a quality hunting opportunity with a parent or other adult.

The special deer hunt is scheduled for November 23, 2019 on designated areas of Dillon State Park by permit only.

A drawing and orientation for the hunt will be held on November 16, 2019 at the park camp-store.  To be eligible for a permit, all interested hunters must attend this drawing and be accompanied by their adult hunting partner.  Registration for and drawing will be at 10:00 A.M..  Successful applicants will be required to attend a brief orientation shortly thereafter.

Hunters may harvest deer of either sex.  Antlerless deer include deer without antlers or antlers less than three inches in length.

Youth hunters age 17 and under are eligible for the hunt.  All hunters must be accompanied by a non-hunting adult, 21 years of age or older.

All youth hunters must have a valid Ohio Youth Hunting license and Youth Deer Permit at the time of the drawing.
