For the second week in a row the Scotties came out to prove that they have what it takes, and they did with a deciding 55 – 0 win over the West Muskingum Tornadoes on Friday, October 25th, at Jack Anderson Stadium in Dresden.
29 seconds, that is all that it took the Scotties to capitalize on the first drive of the game, and that drive was lead by none other than #33 Jordan Pantaleo with a 61-yard touchdown that lit up the scoreboard for the Scotties 7 – 0 against West M. Another 51 seconds and #3 Jalen Goins-Chandler grabbed a Tornadoe’s pass and ran it in for a quick touchdown, and with the respective PAT’s from #46 Kaden Bay, and #4 Morgan Williamson the Scotties were well ahead 14 – 0. Just over a minute later #6 Aidan Fritter landed a 64-yard pass to #23 Rob Wachter to place a third touchdown in under 3 minutes on the board. Kaden Bay topped the extra point and the Dawgs lead 21 – 0 against the Tornadoes. Tri-Valley was not finished with the first quarter however as they landed another touchdown just prior to the 5 minute mark with a pass from Fritter to #15 Keaton Williams for a 15-yard touchdown and Williamson’s PAT was good 28 – 0 Scotties.
The second quarter of the game was just as stunning as it took less than a minute for the Dawgs to land yet another touchdown on a 44-yard pass from Fritter to #8 DJ Cross coupled with Bay’s extra point kick to put Tri-Valley ahead 35 – 0. West Muskingum was trying to hold off the Scotties, but they were not able to do so as #22 Blake Sands pushed through the defense for a short 1-yarder and put the score at TV 42 – WM 0. With just over a minute left in the half #76 Gyle Bradshaw wanted to get in on the fun and pushed downfield for a 9-yard touchdown to cap the first half of the game at 49 – 0 Scotties.
The tornadoes came out of the halftime locker room with a renewed energy hoping to gain back some ground against the Scotties, but they were only able to hold them off until the last 13 seconds of the third quarter when #28 Drew Burkhart’s pass connected to #13 Karter Jones for a 20-yard touchdown followed by a good PAT by Jalen Goins-Chandler to finish off the Scotties scoring buffet and set the final score of Tri-Valley 55 – West Muskingum 0. Great job Dawgs!
