2019 Scotties Football Seniors

Awards Were Plentiful at the Tri-Valley Football Banquet

Although the season didn’t go as planned for the Scotties 2019 Football team, they did fight hard and the numbers have proven that. On Tuesday, November 19th, at the Tri-Valley Cafetorium, Coach Kevin Fell was looking back at the season with the players and their families and he was pointing out that it is easy to look back and say that we should have passed the ball more, but then when we were looking at the numbers its hard to believe that we passed for a total of 1,776 yards which takes second place for the record of passing yards next to only the 2007 Scottie team. Likewise the rushing yards for the year are only second place to Tri-Valley’s 2008 team at 2,326 yards.

“I’ve always judged teams by the way they finished the season, at the end of the year we were a better football team than we were at the beginning” stated coach Fell.

I think we can all agree that the boys left it all on the field this season and that is all we as fans can ask for. Some of 2019 players were recognized by the All Muskingum Valley League, and the All Eastern District Teams the following is a list of those players.
