Bobbi and Jim Lepi to Receive Dick Johnson Award

Bobbi and Jim Lepi have been named the recipients of the 2020 Dick Johnson Civic Leadership Award. This award honors Muskingum County residents who combine outstanding achievements in business, community leadership, and philanthropy, a rare combination exemplified by the late Richard O. Johnson.

Jim was raised on a small farm just north of Dresden with six brothers and one sister. He graduated from Tri-Valley High School and obtained his Business Administration degree, Magna Cum Laude from Mount Vernon Nazarene University. Roberta (Bobbi) Lepi is the daughter of the late Robert Bumpus (who she was named after) and Joanne Stokes Bumpus. She was raised in the same house her parents have lived in for 61 years in Frazeysburg.

In the early 80’s they founded a real estate brokerage which today is the thriving, Lepi & Associates Real Estate Services, owned and operated by Bobbi, while Jim was working at the time as a building and grounds supervisor for Tri-Valley Schools. In 1986, Jim with brothers Mike and Jeff, founded Lepi Enterprises Inc., an environmental services company and Jim serves as President and CEO. He started Dresden and Company in the Spring 2019.

Jim has a history of service to his community including; the Distinguished Graduate award from Tri-Valley High School, serving 6 years on Dresden Village Council, founding member and President of the Dresden Village Association, President for the Building Environment Council of Ohio, President of the Muskingum County Community Foundation Board of Trustees, President of St. Ann’s Parish Council, Trustee for Muskingum County Board of Realtors and an Instructor of environmental classes Muskingum Area Technical College.

“He is the most generous person I know, giving of himself in so many ways over the years.” Bobbi says. “I believe if you ask any of the people that have worked closely with him over the years, be it at Tri-Valley when he worked there, at Lepi Enterprises or any of the vendors that he works with there, Village Council people that served with him, and most recently his team at Dresden & Company. You just can’t work around this man and not want to do your best, help others be their best, and learn from him every day”.

Bobbi and Jim Lepi were married on October 18, 1980, which is also her Mom and Dad’s anniversary date. they have three sons, Brodie (Sherrie), Kyle (Dena) and Hunter (Lindsey) and their first grandchild, Jackson.

The Dick Johnson Award, established in 2000 through the efforts of Bob Kessler, will be presented to Jim and Bobbi on Friday, January 31, 2020, at the Ohio University Zanesville/Zane State College Campus Center during the Muskingum County Community Foundation’s (MCCF) annual Groundhog Day event.
