No doubt the Tri-Valley Girls varsity basketball team is on the road to victory at the MVL level and beyond. Along that path they met up with the West Muskingum Lady Tornadoes to see if they could keep their unbeaten MVL record rolling, and they did making quick work of the underpowered West Muskingum team and ending the game with a whopping 68 – 12.
Tri-Valley girls were not taking it easy on the Tornadoes when they came to visit on Wednesday, January 15th, in Zanesville. From the first step the Scotties had the advantage and they made good use of it shutting out the Lady Tornadoes in the first quarter to the tune of 15 – 0.
West Muskingum was able to scramble some shots to the net in the second play period but they just couldn’t keep up as the Scotties landed shot after shot to end the first half of the game with an stunning 37 – 6 lead.
After halftime the Lady Dawgs continued the offensive barrage of shots and held the Tornadoes to just 4 points for the period thickening their lead to 51 – 10.
The West Muskingum team was visibly worn down as they struggled to get through the game only managing to get another two points on the board before the Scotties drove home the final shots to put the game to rest at Tri-Valley 68 – West Muskingum 12.
