The Scotties traveled to General’s country on Tuesday, January 14th, to face Sheridan in a conference matchup that was an important win after faltering to Maysville on the 10th. The Dawgs struggled coming out of the tip-off but were able to gain the lead in the second half and hold onto it to finish the game up 54 – 48
The first half of the game Sheridan was seemingly always one step ahead of the Scotties answering shot for shot with an early lead that the Dawgs were able to take back just before the end of the first half putting them up 22 – 19 against the Generals.
Coming out of the locker room in the third period, the Scotties continued to pressure the Generals gaining more ground and holding back the Sheridan offensive push ending the period up 42 – 34 contributed to by a trey popped in early in the period by #2 Skye Bryan as part of the 10 points he scored in the 3rd.
Taking advantage of their growing lead, the Scotties pushed on into the final period and continued to stifle the Generals offense at every opportunity. Sheridan tried to make a last minute gain to stop the Dawgs but they were unable to keep up and Tri-Valley finished the game up 54 – 48. A big win for the Scotties for sure! Great job!
