Just about 90 boys and girls from Tri-Valley Elementary Schools, Middle School and High School turned out to compete against hundreds of kids from area schools in Tri-Valley’s Annual Fun Shoot.
The first flight was at 8am on Saturday, January 18. Every hour a new set of archers lined up to take aim at the targets at the TV High School until the final flight which was scheduled for 3pm.
After the scores were tallied, nine Tri-Valley students scored high numbers to earn them a 5th place score or better across eight brackets.
Fourth Grader Jade Hess scored 207 which was enough for a second-place win. Another pair of second-place finishes were earned by fifth-graders Addison Doyle and Quinton Lazar who put up scores of 261 and 271 respectively. Caden Ray, a fourth-grader landed enough arrows to add up to a score of 236 earning his third-place victory. Other Tri-Valley archers with fourth or fifth place scores for their gender and grade included Braxton Lemmon, Owen Sine, Sophie Bash, Sadie Devore, and Jeremy Barnett.
