It was a hard-fought game that saw the TV Varsity Boys Basketball Team to their now 9 – 2 MVL standings after taking down the New Lexington Panthers as they climbed back from a tied half-time score of 18 – 18 to win the night at 47 – 41.
From the start of the game, it seemed as if the win was a sure thing as the Scotties took the lead at the end of the first quarter upping the Panthers by 9 – 4.
In the second period, New Lex decided to push back and completely eliminated the deficit and ended out the quarter-point for point at 18 – 18 going into the locker room.
After half-time, the Scotties came out to play, with a rush of points that pushed them well into the lead over New Lexington with a hefty 33 – 25 at the end of the third quarter.
In the final minutes of play, the Scotties had a harder time holding back the Panther offense as they pushed ever closer to closing the gap. However, the Dawgs pulled it off and finished the game up 47 – 41.
