Storybook Trails Are a Fun, Free, Healthy and Educational Family Activity and There Are a Couple in Muskingum County!

If you are looking for something different to do as a family, the Storybook Trails at Dillon State Park and Downtown Zanesville are something you should add to your summer to-do list.

Enjoy nature and the story of Miss Maple’s Seeds as you walk along the paved loop at the North-West corner of the Beach parking lot at Dillon State Park. This trail is ADA accessible so all can take part in this educational trail. There are even activities along the trail and a Little Free Library at the entrance.

The Muskingum County Library System added a Story Walk which begins at a flower pot located in front of Century National Bank on the corner of 5th and Market Street and takes you through a small portion of Downtown Zanesville on a journey to read The Gruffalo. The pages of the story are spread throughout 15 flower pots along the trail. The trail concludes in front of the John McIntire Libary. The Gruffalo Story Walk can be experienced through the end of July.
