Hydrant Replacement Scheduled for Dresden – Emergency Repair

On Friday, August 21st, the Dresden Water Department will be replacing a fire hydrant at Silliman St and Dave Longaberger Avenue. Residents in the blocks west of Chestnut Street on 1st Street, 2nd Street and Dave Longaberger Avenue, ending at the Towne Apartment Complex, will experience a disruption in service beginning in the morning until the repair is finished. Once service is restored, a boil alert for the affected areas will be in effect until further notice.

Friday, August 21: The Village of Dresden Water Department has issued a boil alert for the residents in the Mitchell Hill Subdivision, due to an emergency repair. Crews are on the scene and once service is restored, the boil alert will remain in effect until further notice.

UPDATE: Tuesday, August 25: The boil alert for the north end of Dresden that was the result of a hydrant repair and the additional alert, for an emergency repair in the Mitchell Hill subdivision, has been lifted.
