Back-to-School stresses are exceptionally elevated this year due to COVID-19 procedures and concerns. These stresses did not go unnoticed by Pastor Dan Wells of the Dresden United Methodist Church. He organized a gathering to pray with other area pastors and the community for the schools, administrators, staff, teachers, students and families the evening before Tri-Valley schools reopened.
“If there was ever a time that we needed to gather to pray it seems like now is the time. We are in the midst of uncertain days, days filled with anxiety, stress and chaos, and we as a community have an opportunity to gather together to support one another and move forward together,” said Wells.
Reverend John Kay of the Frazeysburg United Methodist Church, Reverend Gregory Farra from the Dresden Church of the Nazarene and Tyler Watson the Youth Minister for Meadow View Church of Christ each said a prayer for the school district.
The following day, August 26 was the first time classes were held in Tri-Valley school buildings since mid-March due to COVID-19 state-wide orders.
