Lady Dawgs Shutoff the Electrics at Kenny Wolford Park

The Tri-Valley girls varsity soccer team continues their aim for the MVL champs as they took down the Philo Lady Electrics on Thursday, September 10th, at Kenny Wolford Park in Dresden.

Philo came to Dresden looking for a win over the Scotties but they were met with disappointment as the Lady Dawgs started off the first half of the game with a pair of scores including one but #10 senior Claire Martin with 16:59 left in the first half. For the majority of the half the Scotties kept possession of the ball and outstepped the Lady Electric defense.

The second half of the game was even more energetic as the Philo opponents stepped up their game and took possession of the ball a few times from the Scotties and even had a few attempted goals that were safely caught and deflected by #81 keeper Alison Yingling. However the advance was not enough to stop the Lady Dawgs as they pushed forth netting three more goals including a pair of shots by #22 junior Alicia Ritchie and a single by #1 sophomore Lexie Littick to wrap up the Scottie win at 5 – 0 with the shutout accredited to Yingling.
