Facility Will Create Easier Access to High-Quality Orthopedic Care

Zanesville, Ohio (Sept. 22, 2020) – Genesis HealthCare System broke ground for the new Genesis Orthopedic Center Tuesday, Sept. 22. The center will be located on the land directly across from Northside Pharmacy between Bell Street and Maple Avenue. It is expected to open in fall 2021.
“We are excited to kick off construction of the Genesis Orthopedic Center as we continue to grow and enhance our orthopedic services for the residents of our communities,” said Matthew Perry, president and CEO, Genesis HealthCare System. “The center will bring together our orthopedic providers and services in a modern, convenient setting with state-of-the-art treatment spaces for our patients.”
Speaking at the ceremony were Matthew Perry and Corey Jackson, D.O., orthopedic surgeon. Sister Maureen Anne Shepard, Genesis director of Mission, gave the invocation. Joining in the groundbreaking were Don Mason, Zanesville mayor; Pat Nash, Genesis Board of Trustees chair; and physicians from the Genesis Orthopedic Group and Genesis Orthopedic Sports Medicine.
