Girl Scout Ambassadors Honored

Monday, September 14, 2020, Girl Scouts of Ohio’s Heartland honored two of its Girl Scout Ambassadors from Troop 60143 on earning their Girl Scout Gold Awards. The Gold Award is the highest achievement within the Girl Scouts of the USA. This is a most prestigious award, earned only by 5.4% of eligible Senior and Ambassador Girl Scouts.

Kaylee Toland is a 2020 graduate and is currently attending Zane State College. Kaylee did her project on little brown bats, their habitats and white nose syndrome. By holding workshops to build bat houses and placing them in local wildlife areas, Kaylee has enriched the lives of our local ecosystems.

Abigail Moore is a senior at MidEast Career and Technology Center studying Digital Media. Abigail did her project on Suicide Alertness and Mental Health in teenagers. With suicide being the second leading cause of death in teens, Abigail researched mental health issues and brought awareness to her local community as well as worldwide with her Facebook page and YouTube video.
