Just as they have fought hard all season to end up where they are, the Lady Dawgs showed no sign of letting up in the Division II Sectional final game against the Philo Lady Electrics, on Thursday, October 22nd, at Kenny Wolford Park in Dresden.
The Scotties took an early lead against the electrics with a net landing from #10 Claire Martin in the first half of the game, but the Lady Electrics tied up the score late in the second half and defended their goal so fiercely that it ran the game into a fifteen-minute sudden-death overtime.
The Scotties took to the field after a short break, and with the determination to make sure they moved on #10 Claire Martin again stepped up to score for the Lady Dawgs within the first 4 minutes of overtime winning the game for the Scotties and locking in the Sectional Championship Title.
