The Dawgs were very upset about losing the MVL title and they have shown how resilient they can be by bouncing back in the first two games of the postseason.
On October 9th, at Jack Anderson stadium the Scotties took on Columbus Centennial Stars. The majority of scoring by the Scotties was done before halftime with the Dawgs racking up an astonishing 44 points by halftime leaving a running clock for the remainder of the game. Tri-Valley did land an additional touchdown in the second half to total their score at 50 to the Stars 0.
The second matchup of the postseason took the Dawgs to distant Jackson, Ohio where they faced the formidable Jackson Ironmen. A hard-fought battle for sure, but the Scotties took the early lead with a 7 – 0 standing before halftime. Just after halftime the Dawgs made their final touchdown of the night putting them up 14 – 0 against the Jackson team. The Ironmen however, were not going down easily, with a late-game rally that saw them land their own two touchdowns but with each, the point after conversion was incomplete so the Scotties narrowly escaped with a 14 – 12 victory.
The Dawgs move on to face the Bishop-Hartley Hawks in Columbus on Friday, October 23rd.
