Tuesday, October 14th, the Tri-Valley Boys Varsity Golf team lead by Coach Aron Dotson, played and won the Division I, East-Southeast District Tournament played at Eaglesticks Golf Course in South Zanesville.
Heading up the scoring for the afternoon was senior Drew Johnson who shot one under par at 69. The team played against 6 other district teams and the win put them in the coveted State Golf Tournament taking place October 23rd-24th at the OSU Scarlet Course.
Coach Dotson commented “I couldn’t be happier for our team, the boys worked hard and have been consistent all year. I’m especially proud of them for not getting down after a tough loss last week at the regular-season ending Muskingum Valley League Tournament; they stayed focused and performed like I knew they could in the post-season.”
This is only the second time in school history for the Scotties to have qualified for the OHSAA State Golf Tournament. Good Luck Dawgs!
